Domain ownership
- Customers should understand who owns the domain and whose details are used for registration.
- LocalLaunch SA may help register, connect or manage a domain, but customers must not feel trapped.
- Customer registrant details must be accurate and kept up to date.
Availability and pricing
- Domain suggestions are not guarantees of availability.
- A domain is only secured after registrar confirmation and successful payment.
- Domain registration, renewal, transfer and premium-domain prices are separate unless clearly bundled in writing.
DNS and SSL
- Connecting a domain may require DNS changes, nameserver updates or access from the customer.
- SSL certificates depend on correct DNS, provider checks and propagation time.
- Incorrect DNS changes by a customer or third party can interrupt the website, email or other services.
Renewals and transfers
- Customers are responsible for domain renewal decisions and payment.
- Expired domains may stop websites, email and traffic from working.
- Transfer-in and transfer-out requests must follow registrar rules and may take time.
These plain-language policies are operational guidance for LocalLaunch SA and customers. They should be reviewed by a qualified South African attorney before high-volume processing.
